This long-lost trip has finally come back and is posted on Flickr. I still need to somehow re-construct a mini trip diary since the notes are gone from all but the first three days.

This was a trip that was something of a repeat of my 1996 trip, since it was a short quick trip to London and Paris. I re-visited some of the same places again in 2007, and puts me right on track to revisit just in time for the 2012 Olympics. Looking at this photo compared to the one in the Club Josh banner, it looks like someone has filled me and the jacket with air!! I think it must be the weight I have gained in the 7 years since the photo was taken.

In my effort to find one set of photos, I found photos from New York City 2003 and Boston 2005 that for one reason or another were never posted. 2001-2005 was a really weird time for me and the web site as I never got around to doing a lot of things that I wanted to do. I remember it was when I first started at Disney and was not on the computer as much as I was in 1995-2000. That might have something to do with it, but probably just laziness.

What makes it more frustrating is that it did not take that long for me to get the photos posted to Flickr and add the tags and descriptions. Certainly less time that it will take me with the long lost Europe 2002 photos that I originally was looking for when I started.

In the process of looking at the site and trying to find things, I came up with the first comprehensive review of the site that I have done in a long time and came up with a list of things that needed to be updated and fixed to bring the site into 2009-2010.

I have already went through the old Trip Diaries and fixed them so that they actually work again. No, there was no massive decades old promise of a redesign - yet!

In the meantime, please enjoy the new (old) photos from NYC 2003 and Boston 2005.

Kris and Laura's Wedding

I had a great time at their wedding which took place in July in Griffith Park - just below the Observatory! It was great to see all of Kris' relatives, some who I haven't seen since the late 1980s and early 1990s. I left the wedding with a sincere bond of family - mainly due to the small number of attendees, but also from the fact that people I met for the first time talked to me like I was one of the family and made me feel welcome. It was a really special day. I love these small family weddings just as much as the classic weddings. I do think that when the day comes that I get married, my ceremony is going to be somewhere on the scale of Kris' wedding as well as Mark's wedding and Susie's wedding. My days of wanting a wedding from the Sound of Music are pretty much over.
