Minor update to add a photo of my 2012 Prius to the Club House.
Also added the Gorn photos from Puerto Rico 2011. Totally slacking since it's been over three months. I wanted to wait until they were on the new server before uploading, but basically I will be starting from scratch when I import the files over to the new server.
After years, and I mean years of neglect, I finally got around to updating my Jarrepalooza site. First time since 2005!! Shockingly, there were not that many albums to add. Most of the changes were format-wise for ease of use as well as updating some of the ancient 1997 code and the links that went to sites that have not existed. All the links are now up to date. Also, added my MP3 albums that were not on the site before. (I totally forgot that my Mobile site was updated back in 2008, and I just never updated the web site!)
As for the Club House, it was redesigned, ditching the old format and now conforms to the Main Page and Daily Update sites (go figure since the Daily Update is technically part of the Club House). Instead of linking to old parties and outdated information, I decided to make it more of an "about/table of contents" page than I originally intended when I started this page in 2002. However, now that the site is 15 years old, I decided to give some history behind the sites and the technical aspects of it.
It still has my newly updated Biography and links to other sites I have featured, and my new favorite which is a list of current sections of the site as well as those long gone, but not forgotten sections.
Next up, I need to create a new banner image to replace the January 2009 one!
I started working on a new Club House page and as a result started poking around at a few minor things that were amiss on the site.
First up: Deleted the old Lite site that I no longer use. As a reminder everything is now in m.clubjosh.com. As a result I deleted the old PDA link under the What's New links on the index page.
Next: Updated the old robots.txt file from the old server. There were a lot of directories that no longer exist (old galleries that are long gone!)
Finally: Made the Flickr thumbnail on the index page a local image since if you are looking at clubjosh from behind a domain that blocks Flickr you see nothing.
I still haven't finished the new Club House, but it is close. Hope to get it up before vacation.
I have completed the migration of the archaic What's New section into its own blog. The new URL will now be just http://www.clubjosh.com/clubhouse/new/. I have updated the links on the home page to reflect the new URL.
With this done, Now I can turn my attention to making the Club Josh Lite version updated to be automatically pulled from Movable Type. Then, it's on to building the new iPhone site! Oh and in the 10 year old idea department - Trip Diaries into MT!
Finally
posted the redesign of the home page and the Club House. This is of
course for the 10th Anniversary of Club Josh which is tomorrow. Hard to
believe!!
Created a new
gallery of classic Josh and the Family photos. This is the first time
since August 8, 2000 (v. 16.1) that photos like these are on the site.
I will have to see if I can find some of the old Friends and Family
photos and post them. One of my goals is to have a picture of me for
every year along with a brief quip about something from that year. Just
another in a long line of projects for the site.

61 pictures of the festivities in Sausalito. Man, that Gallery program
is so nifty. It had been a long time since I had messed with it so I
had to reset the passwords. Looking at the previous entry, it's obvious
I have some work to do with porting the galleries over. I think the
impeding redesign will get things rolling.

pictures from the first ever traveling Anti-Valentine's Day party. This
year we set off for Vegas and toured the Boulevard as well as visited
the 24th century. Beside darts, we also had the Bitter Bowl which was a
lot of fun. The idea of taking the party on the road is so popular that
we are thinking Hawaii next year. Now we just need a lighter dart
board. These pictures also mark the debut of the new Gallery for the
Club House section. Over the course of the next few weeks I will port
over all of the old galleries into this new format. yeah I know it's
busy work, but it helps keep me sane.
Posted the
pictures from Night of 100 Stars, almost completing the section. I
still need to finish the chronology, but for the most part it is done.
I still wish I had a better way to post the photos, like from Movable
Type so people can comment on the photos and such. Perhaps I'll get it
figured out in time for Anti-Valentine's Day or even the forthcoming
Europe Trip.
After many months
of promising, the new Club House section is here. It certainly is more
different than when I first started. Basically, I have put all of the
party pictures in this section and have already moved them on the
server. It will take awhile for all of the bad links in the search
engines to die out, but I am not really that concerned with the traffic
going to those pages, so I won't bother with redirects. The new section
is missing the famous Josh Favorites section for now, but over time, I
think I will eventually redo it. Now all I need to do is finish a
friends section and it will be complete.
